The Telugu version of ‘Zanjeer’ raked in Rs 8.14 crore in Andhra Pradesh alone on Day 1, despite intense agitations across the state affecting the screening of the film several places.

On the other hand, the reports from the Hindi circuit for ‘Zanjeer’ were very poor. Despite releasing in over 2,000 thousand screens, the tough cop flick failed to draw the crowds to the theatres. Zanjeer first day Collections: Rs 3.44 crore from 2,086 screens.
The other Bollywood flick Shudh Desi Romance has been doing good business at the ticket window. Shudh Desi Romance first day Collections: Rs 6.75 crore from 1050 screens.
Overall, Zanjeer/Toofan business on Day 1 is anywhere between Rs 13.5-15 crore, including AP, Karnataka, Kerala, North India, Overseas.
