But as ever, the TRS is not giving into the tricks played by Congress, and the party is warning its leaders of Congress’ sly move over Telangana and that they are just playing up over the issue and that they in fact have no serious intention of creating a separate state for Telangana. Clearly, TRS does not want to grant Congress the slightest of political mileage over T.
The media’s extensive coverage over the T issue and Seemandhra people’s protests have given enough proof to Telangana people to believe that Congress is indeed supporting a separate statehood to them.
Interestingly, a few leaders from TRS including T Harish Rao and K Kesava Rao have pinned huge hopes on Congress in helping them create Telangana state, which is contradictory to the TRS chief KCR’s suspicion on Congress’ intentions. And there is a section of leaders who are also of the opinion that if Congress creates T then there is a strong chance of TRS merging with the Congress.
