Cashing in on the popularity of Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, BJP’s Andhra Pradesh leadership is collecting a registration fee of Rs 5 per person for allowing them to attend a public meeting of the National leader held at LB Stadium on August 11th.

Online registration process already begun through the party’s official website, Twitter and Facebook. Few ticket sale counters will also be opened on July 20th. Interestingly, About 8,000 people signed up on Day 1 of the online registration. BJP is expecting nearly 1 lakh attendance in the stadium for the Modi’s meeting. The collected amount will be donated to Uttarakhand flood relief fund.

The design of the entire programme is a brain child of Narendra Modi and the BJP prime minister candidate targets the youth (particularly age group of 18-40) to improve the prospects of the National party in 2014 elections. This meeting in Hyderabad gained prominence because it is Modi’s first public meeting in South after getting elected as BJP’s election campaign chief. Eventually, it also marks the kickstart of BJP’s poll campaigning for 2014 polls in South India.
