Superstar Mahesh Babu, who delivered a hat-trick of hits, is currently busy with Sukumar’s high budget action flick 1- Nenokkadine. This film was supposed to release for this Dussera, but the delay in shoot pushed it to Pongal. Mahesh Babu missed out on a great opportunity to prove his dominance at box office by missing out on Dusseara release. In the absence of Mahesh, only Pawan Kalyan and NTR are competing at the box office in this festive season.

Both NTR and Mahesh made their debuts almost at the same time and Pawan made his debut a couple of years ahead of them. Therefore these three are considered as the contemporaries and all of them have tremendous following among the masses and youth. These three are serious contenders for the numero uno place besides Prabhas and Ram Charan. Media is keen to announce the new number one of Tollywood, and if 1 was in the race for Dussera, then we could have got a clear idea about the current number one hero.

Pawan Kalyan already proved his mettle with Attarintiki Daredi, which is on course to enter the sixty crore club. Now NTR is gearing up as Ramayya to prove his stamina at the box office. It would have been a great competition if Mahesh’s 1 is also in contention. Although Mahesh misses out now, he can prove his star power with 1 by surpassing whatever is posted by Attarintiki and Ramayya.
