Braving heavy rain and bad weather, the YSR Congress party has said that the party’s public meeting ‘Samaikya Sankharavam’ will be held as per the schedule at LB Stadium in the city on Saturday.

Addressing the press here on Friday, party senior leader Konatala Ramakrishna said that the meeting will be held between 2 to 5 pm at the stadium.  Party President YS Jaganmohan Reddy and honorary President YS Vijayamma will address the meeting to echo the aspiration of people of the state in support of united Andhra.

Stating that Jagan has been monitoring the situation on an hourly basis and instructed the cadre to be part of relief works in the rain affected districts,  he hoped people from Seemandhra as well as Telangana supporting the YSR party and its fight against bifurcation will make success the  mammoth public meeting.

Taking strong exception to the ‘conflicting’ statements made by the union ministers and Congress high command on the introduction of  Telangana bill in the Parliament, Ramakrishna said the centre  inclined to bifurcate the state for political gains without considering the demands and issues raised by the people of Coastal Andhra and Rayalaseema. The YSR party will continue its fight against the Congress ‘unilateral’ decision to divide the state.
