The number of centers have increased in USA now and many films released in USA much before they got screened in USA and this helped films to get great openings. High ticket prices continued to be the main problem for many moviegoers. The positive aspect of 2012 is that if a movie got good word of mouth and reviews, audiences flocked to the theaters rather then waiting for the pirated versions to hit the web. At the same time if the movie had not received encouraging reviews they completely ignored the movie.

2012 has witnessed a good Success rate for Telugu films in India. But same is not true for the USA market. Many big hero films failed to make money. On the other hand, market is growing slowly. Eega and Gabbar Singh were the biggest hits in US and movies like Racha, Dammu, Businessman, Damarukam, Shirdi Sai, Rebel and others have remained as loss ventures.
